The Turin Giants Name Previous Azzurri Manager Luciano Spalletti

Juventus have appointed ex- Italian national team manager Spalletti to lead the team until the end of the season.

Spalletti replaces the Croatian manager, who was sacked after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio last weekend.

Tudor arrived at the club in March filling the shoes of Thiago Motta but left after seven months at the end of an eight-match winless run.

Under Spalletti, Napoli clinched the Serie A championship in 2022-23 prior to assuming the Italy role, after the team's failure to reach the 2022 World Cup with Mancini at the helm.

Under his guidance, they made it to Euro 2024 where they were knocked out in the last 16 by Switzerland.

Yet, the Italian FA let Spalletti go in June following a loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying, as Italy faced the possibility of not making a third World Cup in a row.

He has previously coached Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Italy's top flight and won the Russian Premier League twice with Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla served as interim manager for Juventus during the 3-1 victory over Udinese on Wednesday placing them seventh in the Serie A standings - trailing leaders Napoli by six points after nine matches.

Their Champions League campaign sees them in 25th place in the group stage, with one loss and two draws in their first three games.
